Flooding continues to affect roads across Tauranga

Council is aware of slips around the Wairoa Bridge, and a geotechnical assessment is currently taking place. The bridge remains open to vehicles; however, the cycle lane is closed.

Adams Avenue will be temporarily closed to vehicles as precaution under a heavy rain watch from 5pm

This is a precautionary approach following geotechnical advice about the current risks on Mauao from anticipated rainfall.
