Pollution prevention plans

Tauranga City Council and Bay of Plenty Regional Council have developed a guide and template to help commercial and industrial sites assess pollution risks from their business and develop a pollution prevention plan to address these risks.

The guide will help you write your plan and goes through each part, step by step. The guide has checklists to help assess your site for actual and potential stormwater pollution issues. You will also find posters, forms and other documents you can use as part of your plan.

You can download the guide, templates and supporting documents as one zip file or you can download sections separately.

Should you have trouble downloading the files, or should you have questions about how to use the guide please contact a Pollution Prevention Officer on 07 577 7000.

NB: If you choose to download the zip file it may either be slow to download or you may not be able to download it depending on your connection. This is due to the size of the file.
