Overflow Notification

This is to notify you that a wastewater overflow has occurred at Merriman Place, Pyes Pa Tauranga on 13 August 2026.

The overflow was a result of debris.  This will have impacted Saddleback Rise and Waterside Drive Drainage Reserves, the Waiorohi Stream and the Waimapu Estuary.

Current Actions

Council staff and contractors have cleared the blockage, disinfected the area and put up warning signage in public places including the Saddleback Rise and Waterside Drainage reserves.
Water quality sampling will be undertaken as soon as weather permits.
