The festive season is an awesome time of celebrating, eating and giving. But did you know that the season is also the most wasteful time of the year?
Tauranga City Council will introduce kerbside waste collections for all households, on 1 July 2021. This means weekly food scraps and fortnightly rubbish and recycling collections will be added to the existing glass recycling collection and wheelie bins will replace rubbish bags.
We are very pleased to announce that Kaitiaki are now at the Omanawa Falls to help care for this special place as well as support and advise any visitors. They will be on site most days from Monday, December 21 2020 until April 2021.
Electoral Officer Warwick Lampp has issued a public notice countermanding the earlier notice of by-election for the positions of Mayor of Tauranga City Council and Councillor for the Otumoetai-Pyes Pa Ward.
Traditionally, the first day the library doors open in the new year is the busiest, as holiday makers descend to one of Tauranga City Libraries to pick up the most necessary beach companion – a book.
