A city wide sprinkler and irrigation system ban begins at 12pm today, Wednesday 23 December, due to a combination of low flow levels in the streams that supply Tauranga’s water and the increasing high water demand our city is experiencing.
Tauranga City Council is asking freedom campers visiting our city to follow the rules so that Tauranga can remain a friendly and safe freedom camping destination.
The final part of the project to upgrade the city’s streetlights to LED lights is now underway and expected to be completed by mid-2021.
