Tauranga City Council is celebrating the start of the main construction phase of the new Pāpāmoa East Interchange, which will provide a long-awaited connection between Pāpāmoa East and State Highway 2.
Roads and paths across Tauranga and the Western Bay of Plenty are about to get more colourful after five students and a teacher received their winning helmets from the design your own helmet competition.
Come summer, the Welcome Bay community will be able to pack up a picnic and enjoy an enhanced version of the much-loved play space, Waitaha Reserve.
The new Pāpāmoa East Interchange is progressing into its main construction phase. Work alongside SH2 Tauranga Eastern Link Toll Road, just west of the Kaituna River bridge, is planned to start today.
