Last week Tauranga City Council endorsed the new SmartGrowth Strategy 2023 – a refreshed plan for the long-term growth of the western Bay of Plenty sub-region.

From Monday, 10 June 2024, a 2km section of the left westbound lane of the SH2 Tauranga Eastern Link Toll Road, just past the Kaituna River bridge, will be closed.

Speed limits outside some Tauranga schools will drop to 40km/h for drop-off and pick-up times to make it safer for students.
