What’s on offer
Sustainability Option's Eco Design advisors will provide you with two hours of free consultation, where they will give you free, practical, cost-effective solutions for your home’s design, with a focus on improving comfort and energy efficiency. Sessions can be held at your home, online, at your building site, architect’s office, or at their Tauranga office.
During your consultation, they’ll discuss:
- Designing a warm, dry, and healthy home
- Fixing draughts and leaks
- Choosing energy-efficient heating systems
- Improving home energy efficiency
- Ventilation and insulation tips
- Managing moisture and mould
- Solar power options
- Hot water systems
- Selecting the right windows and curtains

This free service is available to all Bay of Plenty residents, including:
- Homeowners, renters, and landlords (renters may require landlord approval for some changes)
- Builders and designers seeking advice on sustainable building
- Architects working on eco-friendly designs
