Transfer station fees and charges

The full list of Transfer Station fees as at 1 July 2025.

General Waste (Te Maunga is no longer accepting general waste from commercial users, use Maleme Street instead) 2025/26
All vehicles $44.90 per 100kg (minimum charge $30.50 up to 60kg)
Polystyrene $2193.50 per tonne (minimum charge $92.50 up to 40kg)
Generic 75 litre rubbish bag 6.00 per bag (limit of four bags up to 10kg each)
Garden-waste (no flax, bamboo, pampas grass, palm & cabbage trees) 2025/26
Vehicles (cars, utes, SUVs) - Not applicable to Account Holders $18 set fee (Te Maunga Transfer Station Only)
Trailers $15.50 per 100kg (Te Maunga Transfer Station only – minimum charge $18.00 up to 110kgs)
Other 2025/26
Cleanfill soil $105 per tonne (Te Maunga Transfer Station only - minimum charge $105.00)
Concrete (must be 100% concrete or will be charged at General Waste cost) $105 per tonne (Te Maunga Transfer Station only - minimum charge $105.00)
Weigh only $24.00 per weigh
Fridges and freezers $32.00 each
Tyres (clean tyres only, no wheel or rims. Tyres mixed with rubbish will be charged as general waste)

$15 per car tyre (up to 5 tyres per customer) $30 per truck tyre (up to 5 tyres per customer)
Wood waste $375.00 per tonne (Te Maunga Transfer Station only minimum charge 
$26.00 up to 60Kg)

Cash, Eftpos, Credit Cards, (Mastercard and Visa only) No Cheques Accepted.
