Council has made significant investments to provide our customers with high quality drinking water.

Tauranga’s water supply complies with the Drinking Water Quality Assurance Rules and meets or exceeds the Drinking Water Standards New Zealand (2022).

Water testing

Council does not provide a water testing service to private customers. Contact Hills Labs (Hamilton) or Bay of Plenty Regional Council who both offer a water testing service.
