If you're designing a new build or improving an existing home, you can now get free advice on how to make your project more sustainable. Our Eco Design service offers practical information for how you can create a home that’s comfortable, healthy, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly.
What’s on offer
Get two hours of free, expert advice, from one of our Eco Design advisors, thanks to Sustainability Options. We’ll provide you with a range of options, including low-cost and no-cost solutions to make your home more sustainable. You can choose to meet in person at your home, online, at your building site or architects’ office, or at the Tauranga Sustainability Options office.
During the session, you’ll learn things like:
- How to design a warm, dry, and healthy home
- How to fix draughts
- Using solar power
- Picking the best heating systems
- Ventilation and insulation tips
- Managing moisture and mould
- Choosing the right windows and curtains
- Hot water systems
- Making your home more energy efficient
- Reducing your impact on the environment.
