Parking fines are issued when drivers fail to pay for their parking, overstay the time limit or park in an unsafe way.
Paying with cash?
From 31 March 2025, Tauranga City Council will no longer accept cash as a form of payment. Come see our friendly staff at your local Library Community Hub and they can help you set up a different payment method. And if you prefer to continue paying with cash, you can do so in participating post shops.
For more information visit www.tauranga.govt.nz/cashless.
Tickets can also be issued for out-of-date or no warrant of fitness and registration.
Please read the summary of rights on the back of the ticket. If you wish to dispute the ticket, you will need to write to council or fill out our online form (below) within the timeframe given in the summary of rights. Please include the infringement number noted on the ticket.
