Parking fines are issued when drivers fail to pay for their parking, overstay the time limit or park in an unsafe way, like on yellow lines.
Tickets can also be issued for out-of-date or no warrant of fitness and registration.
Please read the summary of rights on the back of the ticket. If you wish to dispute the ticket, you will need to write to council or fill out our online form (below) within the timeframe given in the summary of rights. Please include the infringement number noted on the ticket.

Paying your parking fine
Parking fines can be paid online or in person. If you have misplaced your infringement notice, please call us on 07 577 7000.

Pay at Council’s Customer Service Centre at 21 Devonport Road, Tauranga. We accept cash, credit cards and Eftpos.
Pāpāmoa and Greerton Libraries, Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 5pm (EFTPOS and credit card only).
Note: credit card payments in person will incur a 1.3% processing fee.
Payment plans
Payment plans can be set up for individual infringements over $150.00 such as no warrant of fitness or no registration. Some conditions apply, there is only one agreement per customer. You can enter into an agreement with Council by completing a Traffic Agreement Application. This can be requested by contacting the Parking team, completing the online form, or going to the Service Centre.
