Park and ride services
To Mount Maunganui Dawn Service
A free park and ride service will be available from Kawaka Street (behind Blake Park) to Maunganui Road (behind Mount Drury Reserve, Hopukiore).
Buses will depart from Kawaka Street (opposite Club Mount Maunganui) between 5am and 5.50am, returning at the conclusion of the Dawn Service between 6.15am and 7.30am.
To Tauranga Dawn and Tauranga Civic Memorial Service
A free park and ride service will be available from Tauranga Boys’ College to Memorial Park for each service.
Buses depart from the bus bays on Devonport Road, right outside the school and drop you at the Queen Elizabeth Youth Centre car park.
Return buses depart straight after the service from the bus stop outside the Queen Elizabeth Youth Centre.
- Dawn Service park and ride will run between 5am – 5.45am, with buses returning immediately after the service.
- Civic Memorial Service park and ride will run between 8.30am – 9.15am, with buses returning immediately after the service.
All park and ride buses are accessible for people with limited mobility.
Carparking
Car parking is available at the Tauranga Boys’ College car park off Devonport Road (between Thirteenth and Fourteenth Avenues), with marshals on-site to help people make their way to the buses. PAK’n’SAVE on Cameron Road (between Ninth and Tenth Avenues) has made its above-ground car park available for people attending the service.
The Queen Elizabeth Youth Centre car park is only available for mobility cardholders.
Road Closures:
Tauranga Dawn and Civic Memorial Service
The following roads will be closed on Saturday 25 April 2026 from 2am – 12pm:
- Eleventh Avenue – from Devonport Road to Fraser Street
- Fraser Street – from Eleventh Avenue to Thirteenth Avenue
Mount Maunganui Dawn Service
The following roads will be closed on Saturday 25 April 2026 from 2am – 10am:
- Marine Parade – from Commons Avenue to Banks Avenue
- Pacific Avenue – from Rita Street to Marine Parade
