Overflow Notification

This is to notify you that a wastewater overflow has occurred at El Questro Drive Papamoa on 2 November 2026.
The overflow was a result of a cross connection.  This will have impacted Wairakei Stormwater Reserve.

Current Actions

Council staff and contractors have identified the problem and will be fixing the wastewater connection as soon as practicable and will be putting up warning signs at nearby public access points.
Water quality sampling will be undertaken as soon as weather permits.
