From time to time it’s necessary to temporarily shut off parts of our water network to carry out annual water mains flushing, upgrades or emergency repairs.

Wastewater overflow notification - Freyberg Street

Overflow Notification

Wastewater overflow at Freyberg Street, Otumoetai, Tauranga on 4 September 2026 is now All Clear.
The overflow was a result of gravel and road metal.  This will have impacted Tauranga Harbour.

Actions Completed

Water quality sample results indicate that there will be no further impact as a result of the abovementioned overflow.
