Due to the volume of users, the narrowness of some tracks, no way to effectively manage safe physical distances or trace users, Mauao Trust and Tauranga City Council have closed all Mauao tracks to the public.

Tauranga City Council will not collect parking fees for the remainder of the COVID-19 Alert Level 4 lockdown.

Rubbish and recycling (collection and disposal) is an essential service, and a priority for our city. We want our community to know that all kerbside rubbish and recycling collection services will continue as normal.

To stop the spread of COVID-19, Matapihi Bridge Walkway is closed until further notice.
