Tauranga City Council rates and customer services staff have developed several “lockdown-beating” initiatives to help customers who normally come into a council facility to make their rates payments or organise their Government-funded rates rebates.
Tauranga City Council will restart some of its services, including collecting food scraps and glass bins from Wednesday, 1 September, under Alert Level 3.
Ahead of the alert level change at 11.59pm tonight, Tauranga City Council reminds residents of essential services provided under Alert Level 3.
At Alert Level 2 (from 11.59pm 7 September 2021), council will be resuming most services and reopening public facilities, but with additional safety procedures in place.
From Friday 3 December, Tauranga City Council will require people to present Vaccine Passes upon entry to its public facilities, as the city moves into the new COVID-19 Protection Framework at Orange.
