Following the Prime Minister’s announcement, the nation will move to COVID-19 Alert Level 3 at 11.59pm on Monday 27 April 2020.
Just as many of us are thrilled to get our first takeaway in five weeks, some people are just as excited to visit the transfer station with their rubbish, recyclables and garden waste, after a great lockdown clean up.
Following the nation being moved to COVID-19 Alert Level 3, Tauranga City Council is working to restore the city’s parks and reserves.
If you you’ve been pondering about a new idea or project that could help reduce the amount of waste that is sent to landfill, now is the time to act.
With agreement between council and the site operator on the ways to provide a safe environment reached, Tauranga’s transfer stations will be able to open from tomorrow, Wednesday 6 May.
