We are continuing to find archaeological items of interest in our excavations. To reduce the impact these findings have on the excavation progress, we now have an archaeologist on site.

The Durham Street and Durham Lane upgrade has been a complex project full of surprises. From archaeological findings such as evidence of Maori-era storage pits, to the relocation of services that have not been touched in many years, there have been numerous twists and turns.

We have resolved the drainage problems on the footpath near the University of Waikato. This will allow us to continue with the construction of the path next week.

Watch out for changes in pedestrian walkways near the carpark building mid next week. Work will start on excavating the footpath from Spring Street to the parking building entrance, which means we will need to close that footpath.
