Orientation week for the University of Waikato starts next week and we are happy to announce that we have completed the pedestrian access from Spring Street to the entrance of the university building.

We are continuing to find archaeological items of interest in our excavations. To reduce the impact these findings have on the excavation progress, we now have an archaeologist on site.

The Durham Street and Durham Lane upgrade has been a complex project full of surprises. From archaeological findings such as evidence of Maori-era storage pits, to the relocation of services that have not been touched in many years, there have been numerous twists and turns.
