Me aro koe ki te hā o Hine-ahu-one

My principal residence is NOT within the Te Awanui Māori Ward area.

But my whakapapa is. Ngāti Ranginui, Paparoa te Marae, Pirirakau te hapū.
What you don’t change you accept. Wāhine voices are essential to Māori futures and currently absent from this elected council.

Waiariki voters need a Tāne and a Wāhine voice in the Tauranga City Council table. We are interdependent in our endeavours and together we anchor the collective success of future generations.

I dedicate this stand for the Te Awanui Ward to all wāhine before me, beside me and those yet to be born, who seek fair and effective representation in all areas of life.

Wāhine Māori have been the drivers of numerous successful kaupapa within Te Ao Māori. I am committed to continuing that legacy. I am assertive and honest, and believe in the power of collaboration and co-operation. Māori Business owner, Nan helping raise mokos, Whenua protector and ardent supporter of all things Whānau.
