The city centre is the civic, cultural, and commercial hub of the region.  With once-in-a-lifetime transformation underway the city centre is ever changing and there is much to enjoy, from hospitality to retail and business, art, culture and entertainment and unique, exciting and enriching events and activities.

Mainstreet Tauranga is the not-for-profit organisation tasked with representing the hundreds of commercial, retail and service business that make up our city centre.  Our vision is to have a vibrant, diverse, and thriving city centre that boasts remarkable attractions, amenities and offerings that enrich, inspire and meet the needs of the people who choose to live in, work in and visit our city centre.

Downtown Tauranga is the Mainstreet Tauranga brand that promotes all that is on offer, to encourage more people to our developing and growing city centre who want to stay longer and spend more.
