Wastewater Overflow Notification - Humber Crescent, Gate Pa

Overflow Notification

This is to notify you that a wastewater overflow has occurred at Humber Crescent, Gate Pa, Tauranga on 16 May 2025.

The overflow was a result of paper, wipes, and pads. This will have impacted Faulkner Street stormwater pond and the Kopurererua Stream.

Current Actions

Council staff and contractors have cleared the blockage and put out warning signs around public access to the Kopurererua Stream, including the Faulkner Street stormwater pond, Birch Avenue, and the Waikareao foreshore.

Water quality sampling will be undertaken as soon as weather permits.
