How do you want to shape your city, your neighbourhoods and your homes to support growth? Give council your feedback by next Tuesday (19 May) on ideas to support growth in the Te Papa peninsula, and proposed changes to the city plan to enable more housing choice across the city: www.tauranga.govt.nz/shapeyourcity
Council is asking for the community’s thoughts on proposed ideas and priorities for the Te Papa Plan, and on the draft city plan rules and urban design guidelines for duplexes, townhouses and apartments in different zones.
Ideas for Te Papa
Council is proposing a set of ideas, potential projects and other initiatives to support sustainable growth in the Te Papa peninsula. These ideas and those that people add will assist in deciding what Council invests in and when over the next 30 years.

City plan changes
In parallel, to enable Tauranga to grow up as well as out, Council is proposing to change the city plan to make it easier for people to build – if they want to – duplexes, terraced housing and apartments, to better suit their needs. What should this look like? Tell them what you think of the proposed city plan rules and urban design guidelines.
