Giving us your input is one way you can contribute to our city’s future and help the Council make the right decisions.
Below are some of the ways to have your say:
Participate in consultations and engagements
You can give your views and influence decisions on plans, policies and projects that are going through consultation or engagements.
Opportunities for sharing your ideas and feedback can include surveys, workshops, open days where you can chat directly with staff, the mayor and councillors, and formal submission processes. As part of formal submission processes you can also choose to speak in support of your submission at the hearing of the matter.

Contact Mayor Drysdale and Councillors
To contact the Mayor and Councillors individually, please find their contact details on our webpage to get in touch with any questions or concerns you may have. If you would like to book a 20 minute clinic time with Mayor Drysdale, please contact Executive Assistant Maree King on maree.king@tauranga.govt.nz to make an appointment.
Speaking at a Council meeting
Do you have a great idea to make your city or your community even better? An innovative proposal to address an issue your city is grappling with? Come speak to Council in a public forum.
Public forums are periods of time set aside at the beginning of committee and council meetings where people or organisations have five minutes each to present ideas.
