Strategy, Finance and Risk Committee workshops

The Committee held three initial workshops to consider nine working draft action and investment plans (AIPs), which are being developed to fill current gaps in Council’s strategic framework.  A follow-up workshop was requested to revisit the working draft Climate AIP, agenda documents are now available below.

These working draft AIPs are still very much works in progress.  They will continue to be refined through community conversations through to mid-2023.

Effectively we are now doing two things – developing our new AIPs to fill gaps, and also starting to identify the AIP actions that potentially could be included in the draft 2024-34 Long-term Plan process.  This page provides the workshop schedule, and the agenda documents as they become available.

Initial workshop agenda and feedback documents (including working draft AIPs)

Workshop 1 covered Accessible Tauranga AIP; Safer Communities AIP; Art, Culture & Heritage AIP; and Nature & Biodiversity AIP

What happens next?

We are currently updating our working draft action and investment plans (AIPs) to reflect Committee workshop feedback, and continuing our conversations with any interested people, groups and organisations to develop a ‘version 2’ draft later this month.

We will then seek any further community feedback mid-May through to mid-June, prior to adoption of the AIPs in August.
