The Historic Village: Complex 2 upgrade

The Historic Village

Complex 2 (C2) in The Historic Village will be transformed into a café and event venue.

What will the new building be used for?

The ground floor will be upgraded to a 60-seat cafe space with a commercial kitchen, while the first floor will be a premier bookable venue and speakeasy-style bar. The Whipped Baker Cafe will move to C2 once the works are complete.

Why an upgrade?

Although C2 is building compliant, there have been ongoing issues with obtaining food and beverage licenses, accessibility, and general health and safety. The first-floor venue space is dated and not functional – resulting in low bookings.

This upgrade will improve occupancy and will help establish The Village as a premier event and hospitality destination.

How will visitors and tenants be affected?

The works will take place between 7am – 5pm, Monday to Friday. Any additional hours will be communicated to tenants in advance.

There will be some unavoidable disruption, we anticipate noise, vehicle movement and some short power outages throughout the project. We will do our best to minimise these disruptions and let tenants and visitors know as much as possible.
