Latest and historical reports concerning development trends in Tauranga City and Western Bay of Plenty District.
The National Policy Statement on Urban Development Capacity (NPS-UDC) came into effect on 1 December 2016. It classified Tauranga Urban Area (which relates to both Tauranga City and Western Bay of Plenty District) as a high growth urban area.
The NPS-UDC requires high growth councils to monitor and report on a range of indicators on a quarterly and annual basis.
From September 2017, the SmartGrowth quarterly and annual monitoring reports incorporate the information that meets the monitoring requirements of the NPS-UDC.
