Current water projects

Information on current water services projects happening around Tauranga.

As our population grows, council must invest in new water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure. We also have stringent maintenance plans in place to ensure the safe delivery of water services across our city.

New Opal Drive Pump Station


We’re upgrading the capacity of Pāpāmoa East’s wastewater system and building new pipelines and pump stations for future growth.

Johnson Reserve Renewal Works


The main walking track within the reserve is closed until late 2025 for wastewater renewals.
