McLaren Falls equestrian area

The equestrian area is located at the rear of McLaren Falls and features 13 hectares of cross country riding ground.

The McLaren Falls Park equestrian area is open for all riders to use. It boasts wide open spaces, ample float parking and the best views on horseback all the way over to Mauao and the Kaimai Range.

Jumps are available to book via Tauranga Pony Club who can advise of availability and costs.

All horses must be unloaded and loaded in the designated parking area which can be accessed via Lower Maungapapa Road at the rear of the park. You can get to Lower Maungapapa Road from McLaren Falls Road as shown on the park map.

Horses are not to be ridden throughout the rest of the park.
