Arataki Park

Arataki Park regularly hosts rugby, league and touch rugby and the pump track features easy, intermediate and advanced loops for all ages and abilities.

Active Reserves Master Plan

As a growing city, we’re dedicated to improving the capacity and quality of the city-wide network of venues for sports, recreation, and events to benefit community wellbeing.

We’ve embarked upon a programme of work which considers multiple opportunities for community sport, recreation, events and high-performance training across Tauranga’s network of active reserves. As part of the process, we’ve developed the Active Reserves Master Plan to help guide short, medium and long-term investments by Council. Read more about the Active Reserves Master Plan below.

Opening hours: Year round from 6am to 9pm.

Type Detail
Changing rooms The changing rooms are located within the Arataki Community Centre. Keys required to gain access can be arranged with the Parks Booking Coordinator.
Floodlights The floodlights are operated via text control, to arrange access to the floodlights please discuss this with the Parks Booking Coordinator. 
Irrigation All 3 of the fields on the reserve are irrigated, please discuss with the Parks Booking Coordinator for further details.
Parking The main carpark is adjacent to Baywave. Additional parking is available around the Community Centre and on Grenada and Monowai Streets.
Toilets Yes - open from 8am to 8pm daily.

Pump track

The pump track in Arataki Park features easy, intermediate and advanced loops for all ages and abilities. Completed in September 2020, the pump track can be found within the park on the corner of Grenada Street and Kaimanawa Street. Thanks to the Mount Pump Track Society and project funders for helping make this pump track an awesome community facility.
