New connections, construction and development

Tauranga continues to be one of New Zealand’s fastest growing cities. As new homes are built and industrial areas are developed, new connections for drinking water, wastewater and stormwater are required to link into council’s existing infrastructure.

Builders and developers need to be mindful of issues and rules around backflow prevention, on-site stormwater pollution, prevention plans and audits, sediment run-off and how to locate council services.
